Audio Requirements
An audio interface is currently required to connect your instrument (guitar or bass) to your computer. PixelFret uses real-time pitch detection through your audio interface's direct input for the most accurate note recognition.
Microphone mode is coming in a future update.
Modes
Scales
Practice and learn any scale (Major, Minor, Pentatonic, Blues, Dorian, Mixolydian, Phrygian, Lydian and more coming soon) in any key and position.
Random Notes
This mode is an effective way to help you learn the fretboard by presenting random notes that you must find on the fretboard. Has timed sessions with difficulty from Easy to Expert.
Song Mode (Coming Soon)
Play along with synced audio + MIDI tracks from Community-made songs

Components of the game are open sourced and can be found on Github . Anyone will be able to create and share songs using PixelFret Studio, a web-based MIDI converter tool.
